Cardiolipin Antibody (Anti Cardiolipin, aCL) is frequently observed in patients with systemic Lupus Erythematiosis (SLE). Elevated aCL levels have been strongly associated with presence of both venous and arterial thrombosis. Thrombocytopeniaand recurrent foetal loss, are common manifestations of patients with SLE. However, they are not limited to SLE patients alone but have been observed in other autoimmune disorder. Levels of aCL representing clinical significance are not well established therefore these results should not be used alone but only in conjunction with the complete history, clinical and other diagnostic results of the patient
